"When my husband and I were looking for a photographer for our wedding, we wanted to stay within our budget and also have amazing pictures. When I saw Val's pictures on her website, what really struck me was the color in them. The brightness in the photos and the contrast in colors was phenomenal. I arranged a meeting with Val right away- and once I saw the way the photo albums come out I was sold. Val was very easy going and great to work with. Our engagement photos came out marvelous and she spent the whole wedding day with us, by the end of the wedding, I felt like Val should have been one of my bridesmaids because she contributed so much towards my special day!!! Val did a great job with our engagement shoot. She will also be taking photos at our wedding in May of this year. She was extremely accommodating and very down to earth. She definitely knows what she is doing and does great work. It took me a very long time to find the photographer that best suited our "needs" in the wedding process, and she was a great pick. The day she did our engagement shoot she was actually with her husband and nephew, who did their own thing while we took photos. It was a great use of a short road trip and pretty scenery for her and her family! I would definitely recommend Val Messer or any event you'd like photographed. She also has great package deals that will work for people on a budget!

Val has been amazing to work with. We met with many photographers in making our choice, and Val made us feel at ease right from the start. My fiancée and I are not really spotlight people, and Val did a great job making us comfortable during our engagement session. Not to mention, she trudged through the woods and a river on a rainy day just to be sure that we were able to get the pictures that we wanted, and the pictures were AMAZING. We are completely confident that we will have fantastic pictures from our wedding without having to deal with stress on the wedding day.

The Best! Val is absolutely amazing! From the first time I spoke with her, to the night of my wedding, she was there making sure she knew what I wanted, and that we were happy. I Loved her! She is so good at what she does, and you can tell how much she loves her work. She's very professional but also very fun to be around. She took amazing pictures, sometimes you didn't even know she was there. She made sure I wasn't stressed, and calmed me down in so many ways. She was also so good with my son (who was miserable) but she got him to laugh and smile and made sure she took pictures of him! She's creative, artistic and just an all around great person. I would totally hang out with her! Reasonable prices, great communication, and beautiful work. If you're looking for a photographer, don't hesitate to call her! You will be so glad you did!

The decision of which wedding photographer to choose tormented us for weeks. We ultimately decided to go with Val and are so glad we did! We were initially attracted to her eye for detail, a style that captures all of the little details that make up the big day. She was easy to talk to communicating through both phone calls and emails. She was even flexible in rescheduling our outdoor engagement shoot when it turned out to be 47 degrees and rain in MAY. We thought it was going to be awkward having to come up with poses and taking so many photos but this was not the case with Val. She made us feel comfortable, had plenty of ideas, and played off of the props we had brought. The second shooter that accompanied her to our wedding was also wonderful. It was a pleasure working with them both. We love our gorgeous photos and are so pleased with our experience and know you will be too!

Val was the best choice for our wedding! She and her assistant were easy to work with; funny yet professional! Val cared about every single detail just as much as we did and you could really see her love and passion for her craft! We highly recommend her to anyone who truly appreciates photography as well as to those who hate getting their picture taken (like me). She immediately put us at ease with her perfect blend of "go with the flow" and take-charge nature to achieve the perfect shot!
